Non-medical adventures? We taught ultrasound all day Monday-Thursday, so we were able to take 3 day weekend trips! We went to Interlaken, Colmar, Lucerne, Geneva, Lugano, and Zurich.
We loved getting to meet medical students from Switzerland through our ultrasound course. They became fast friends and we got to experience Basel as a local student! Basel has the Rhine river running through it, so after our class we would leave the hospital and head straight to river to float! I am so grateful we got to travel together on the weekends to incredible lakes.
Recommendations for those going to the same place next summer:
Get ready to make 100+ new friends! And prepare for iced lattes to cost $7. Swiss chocolate lives up to the name. Bring good hiking shoes because the mountains and trails are unbelievable– you’ll want to climb them all.
